The Linea Research NSC46 is part of the advanced NSC Series of networked system controllers, built on an ASC48-derived architecture to deliver exceptional audio performance, reliability, and flexibility in a compact 1U format. Featuring four inputs and six outputs, it offers an ideal balance between system scalability and efficient signal management, making it well suited to medium and large-scale audio systems.
At its core is Linea Research’s proprietary 96kHz digital signal processing platform, designed in-house to provide outstanding clarity, low latency, and precise system tuning. The NSC46 includes powerful DSP tools such as EQ, delay, routing, and advanced crossover options including LIR (Linear Impulse Response) filters, which deliver phase-coherent performance with reduced latency compared to traditional FIR filters.
For loudspeaker protection and optimisation, the NSC46 features the advanced VX limiter suite, offering peak, RMS, and multiband limiting to maintain system integrity while maximising performance. This ensures consistent, high-quality audio output even in demanding environments.
The NSC46 supports analogue and AES3 inputs as standard, with optional or integrated Dante/AES67 networking, allowing seamless integration into modern digital audio infrastructures. Its ability to receive, process, and transmit audio entirely within the digital domain ensures maximum signal integrity and simplifies system design in complex installations.
Designed for both flexibility and ease of use, the NSC46 offers intuitive front panel control alongside comprehensive remote management via Ethernet using Linea Research’s System Engineer software.
