The Linea Research NSC48 is part of the advanced NSC Series of networked system controllers, engineered to deliver the company’s renowned DSP performance and system control capabilities in a compact and flexible 1U format. Featuring four inputs and eight outputs, it provides extensive routing and processing power, making it suitable for large and complex audio systems requiring precise signal management.
At its core is Linea Research’s proprietary 96kHz DSP engine, designed in-house to deliver exceptional audio clarity, low latency, and highly accurate system tuning. The NSC48 includes a comprehensive suite of DSP tools, including EQ, delay, routing, and advanced crossover options such as LIR (Linear Impulse Response) filters, enabling phase-coherent performance with minimal latency.
For system protection and optimisation, the NSC48 incorporates the advanced VX limiter suite, offering peak, RMS, and multiband limiting to safeguard loudspeakers while maximising performance and consistency. This ensures reliable operation in even the most demanding professional environments.
The controller supports analogue and AES3 inputs as standard, with optional or integrated Dante/AES67 networking for seamless integration into modern digital audio systems. Its ability to handle audio entirely within the digital domain ensures maximum signal integrity while simplifying system design and scalability.
Designed with both usability and control in mind, the NSC48 offers intuitive front panel operation alongside comprehensive remote control via Ethernet using Linea Research’s System Engineer software. This enables engineers to configure, monitor, and manage entire systems efficiently from a central interface.
