The Optimal Audio Sub 6 is a compact passive subwoofer designed to deliver tight, controlled low-frequency performance in commercial audio systems. Ideal for smaller spaces such as retail, hospitality, and offices, it enhances full-range speakers with added depth and warmth while maintaining a discreet and space-efficient design.
Description
Sub 6 is an ultra-compact, passive 6” subwoofer designed for applications that call for increased impact and low frequency performance from the smaller Cuboid and Up ceiling loudspeakers.
It features a custom designed, 6” driver with a 2.5” voice coil, combined with a generously sized low frequency port to improve musicality. Delivering 250W (AES) of power with a peak SPL of 118dB, achieving 37Hz at –10dB, this is a truly punchy miniature subwoofer.
The integral M8 inserts, recessed cable channels, and alternate rubber feet positions ensure that Sub 6 fits easily, securely and elegantly into any application. Sub 6 is small enough to fit through a standard ceiling tile and be secured with the available Sub Bracket for wall or ceiling mounting.
An impact-resistant perforated steel grille protects the driver, and the Sub 6 enclosure is constructed from MDF and finished in black or white textured paint.
SmartAmp will provide amplification, EQ settings as well as limiters to protect the driver when playing at louder sound levels.
Sub 6 can be driven by a pair of bridged channels on any powered Zone, whilst the onboard WebApp, ensures system set up and end user control is straight forward.
