The Optimal Audio Up 6 is a high-performance full-range ceiling speaker, delivering clear and balanced audio for music and speech in commercial environments. Featuring a 6-inch driver and metal dome tweeter, it provides wide, consistent coverage and supports both low-impedance and 70V/100V line systems. With an enclosed backcan for improved sound isolation and easy installation, the Up 6 is ideal for medium to large spaces.
Description
Up 6 is a no-compromise two-way, passive 6” ceiling speaker delivering consistent coverage and full frequency sound to a wide range of cost conscious, commercial environments that require higher sound pressure levels from hotels and concourses to retail outlets, bars and restaurants.
An integral fixing system is included to achieve a simple and clean installation. Up 6 has a steel back can, perforated steel grill and is finished in neutral white.
The Pendant 2 and Grille 2 accessories offer further flexibility in installation and applications, allowing you to either elegantly suspend Up 6 speakers as stylish pendants or achieve a sleek, bezel-less grille appearance. These accessories are available in both black and white, helping to blend into any architectural environment.
Up 6 features a 6” (162mm) low frequency driver paired with a 0.7″ (20mm) metal dome tweeter. It is suitable for both high quality speech and music reproduction. A conical 110° coverage pattern delivers consistent, high performance sound where it needs to go.
Each Up 6 can be run on a series of 70 or 100 Volt taps or at low impedance. The 16 ohm setting allows up to four units to be connected to each amplifier channel at low impedance. Tap selection is via a rotary switch behind the removable grille.
A SmartAmp or powered Zone will provide amplification, optimal sound performance and loudspeaker protection via presets. When coupled with Zone and WebApp, system set up and end user control is simple and intuitive, and can be further enhanced by ZonePad wall controllers.
